High End Manufactured Homes Offer Luxurious Options

Friday, December 19th, 2008

Today’s economy is making it difficult for many people to become first time homeowners or to purchase a secondary vacation home. People are instead choosing to waste money with rentals for their residential and vacationing needs. However, instead of fueling more rental money into someone else’s investment, high end manufactured homes offer a luxurious alternative.

When consumers think of mobile homes they often picture a rusty rectangular home sitting on concrete blocks in the middle of nowhere. However, today’s mobile homes are nothing like the stereotyped images stuck in the minds of millions.

Luxury manufactured homes are now available with open floor plans and many upgrade options. They allow consumers to spend much less (plans start around $20,000) and get the high quality they desire. These homes are portable can be moved from location to location. In addition, many models can also be placed on full concreted basements.

Upgrades in high end manufactured homes include options like front porch, back porch, upstairs loft areas, multiple bathrooms, upgraded flooring, upgraded countertops, upgraded appliances and upgraded master bathrooms. When a buyer walks into one of the modern high end manufactured homes they often feel as if they’re in a traditional single family residence.

Whether you are in search for your first home, an inexpensive home to downsize into or a vacation home, high end manufactured homes are luxurious and affordable options to consider. Financing is available with low monthly payments, due to the nature of the low cost of these homes.

Four Trends In Todays Mobile Home Designs

Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

Today’s mobile homes are nothing like the metal disasters of the past. In fact, some of today’s mobile home designs are beautiful and luxurious! If you’re in the market for a new or used mobile home, here are four trends you have to look forward to discovering along your search.

Lofts

One of the most interesting trends in modern mobile home designs is the addition of a loft. A loft area is often added above the living space, allowing for an extra room of sorts. Most people use the loft area for a game room, extra guest space or for a den.

Porches

For those wishing to make their mobile home look like a traditional house, porches are now a big trend. A front porch allows homeowners to sit and enjoy their view. A back porch offers the perfect place to cook out or have guests over for a picnic.

Upgraded Master Suites

Master suites are important in any new house sale today. Thus, mobile home designers are choosing to upgrade their master suites as well. Some mobile homes today are equipped with larger master bedrooms, including bathrooms with separate showers and whirlpool tubs. Talk about luxury!

Basements

One reason many people steer clear of mobile homes is because they feel they aren’t as safe as traditional homes, in case of a storm or tornado. This is true for the mobile homes of the past. Today’s mobile homes are safer than ever and can even be built upon a concrete basement! Thus, homeowners can feel safe and secure knowing they have a haven to retreat to upon a brewing storm in their area.

Manufactured Homes Make Up 25% of Purchases?

Are manufactured homes really becoming more popular? Some statistics would make it seem so…

I ran across this blog post claiming that in the Sequim / Port Angeles area of Washington state, over 25% of all homes sold in the past 4 years have been manufactured homes. Wow!

Even though we’re in the business, that’s that surprised us. I mean, we know that manufactured homes can be a far better value, but who would’ve thought that 25% of the people in this Pacific Northwest region were that savvy too?
