Do you own a small piece of property in the woods or a few acres of land on a field or farm? If so, you may be thinking of buying a mobile home to put on your land. While building a fully sized traditional residence may not be financially possible, putting a manufactured home on the property can be done for less than $30,000 in many cases.
Instead of going with a traditional mobile home style, why not add rustic charm to your property with one of the many manufactured log homes available.
Manufactured log homes look very much like a traditional log home. They are made with high-quality materials and will fit right into any natural landscape. They can come with added front or back porch areas, which can allow you to sit down and enjoy nature. In addition, some of the models come with open floors plans and upstairs loft areas. Most of these homes can be placed on slab flooring, block or even fully concreted basements. Many come with large tubs, upgraded flooring and even stainless appliances.
Choosing to buy a manufactured log home can save you thousands of dollars. A traditionally built log home can cost hundreds of thousands! They add beauty and décor to your property and can be customized and designed to include many lovely upgrades. Whether you’re looking for a primary residence or a place to venture out to on the weekends at the lake, a manufactured log home is the perfect option.

If you’ve been dreaming about owning your own home, but don’t think you can afford to buy a traditional residence, you may want to think about buying a modular home. Modular homes can start as low as $20,000 which easily makes anyone with a steady job eligible to become a home owner.
With most people spending that amount of money on a car, it seems outrageous to be able to get a home for that low cost. However, with today’s modern modular home prices being lower than ever, it’s very possible.
Modular homes are much like mobile homes. In fact, they can be moved and transported to any location in the country. However, unlike the trashy trailers of the past modular homes are built with open floor plans, added luxurious upgrades and high-quality materials. They are the perfect home for first time home buyers, single people or those who are on limited incomes.
The cost for modular homes can be even further decreased if the buyer is willing to purchase a used modular home. Used homes are often great for those who have very little down payment available or those looking for a second vacationing home. Often, if buyers look nationally they can score a modular home for quite a bargain. After purchase they can then move the home to their current location and still have savings leftover!
Overall, choosing to a buy a modular home is a great idea for anyone interested in becoming a homeowner. The cost of modular homes certainly make home ownership possible for almost anyone with an income.

Today’s economy is making it difficult for many people to become first time homeowners or to purchase a secondary vacation home. People are instead choosing to waste money with rentals for their residential and vacationing needs. These homes are portable can be moved from location to location. In addition, many models can also be placed on full concreted basements.
Upgrades in high end manufactured homes include options like front porch, back porch, upstairs loft areas, multiple bathrooms, upgraded flooring, upgraded countertops, upgraded appliances and upgraded master bathrooms. When a buyer walks into one of the modern high end manufactured homes they often feel as if they’re in a traditional single family residence.

Manufactured Housing Communities in Oregon (MHCO) was started in 1990 and continues on today. It began as a small group of manufactured home and park owners and now consists of many homeowners.
The basis of the organization was to help manufactured home owners and park owners better understand their rights and responsibilities. The focus was initially to contest unfair zone barriers and to argue against rent control ballots.
The founders felt the manufactured home industry was misunderstood as a whole and continues to be on many levels. Thus, they continuously work to educated everyone on the mobile lifestyle.
The organization works with government and citizens to improve all understanding of the unique manufactured home lifestyle throughout Oregon communities. They keep a lookout for any government regulation or law proposal which may affect mobile homes.
In addition, they work to relay all government information to mobile home residents in terms anyone can understand fully. Their goal is to protect manufactured homeowners and their home investments.
As a non-profit organization, the upkeep of the organization relies fully on the 500 member’s dues and additional program revenues. Thus, the program is operated by the owners, for the owners.

If you’re looking at a new or used park model trailers, there’s one thing you may not know. They can be easily moved! Yes, you could essentially purchase one in California and have it moved to Iowa or beyond.
While Park Model trailers are very sturdy, they are quite portable. The entire trailer is built upon a chassis which includes wheels. The wheels act as reinforcements for the proper distribution of the weight fully loaded or empty.
In addition, they enforce the overall structural components that prevent any stress fractures and uneven wear. Of course, all manufacturers require thorough inspections before each trailer leaves the plant. So, all Park Model homes are promised to withstand any type of move.
The only thing to remember when moving your Park Model home is to secure anything in the home before transport. Some moving companies will require you to remove everything from the home before they will load and move it. Others will only require you to remove small items and allow you to strap down furniture pieces.
If you are interested in moving your park model trailer, all you need is an industrial trailer. Moving a Park Model home may be necessary if you’ve purchased one from someone else and want to move it to your town, if you are relocating or if you’re using one as a guest house and want to move it elsewhere on your property. No matter what the reasoning for the move is, it’s quite easy to sit a Park Model trailer wherever your heart desires.

Buying a mobile home is an affordable way to begin your life as a homeowner. If you’re considering buying a new or used mobile home, here are a few benefits you may want to think about before your purchase.
1. They cost less than a traditional home to purchase. Mobile homes can start as low as $20,000 each, which is less than most new cars on the market! They make housing very affordable to those looking for an additional home, their first home or for those people who just can’t afford a larger home.
2. They require less maintenance. Mobile homes require much less maintenance than a traditionally built home. Those who purchase a mobile home don’t need to worry about spending thousands of dollars each year on basic upkeep. Mobile homes are built with low-maintenance in mind and homeowners state they rarely have a need to repair.
3. They are portable. Mobile homes can be moved, with the assistance of professional trailer moving companies. Thus, if you buy a mobile home you can choose to move it anywhere you’d like. If you have a job that requires you to move often, you can easily take your home with you upon relocation.
4. They are stylish. Yes, today’s mobile home designs are so stylish they look like traditional homes. In fact, unless you move into a trailer park people may not even realize your home is a mobile home. With upgrades like porches, lofts and master suites there is a great deal of class in each modern mobile home.

Today’s mobile homes are nothing like the metal disasters of the past. In fact, some of today’s mobile home designs are beautiful and luxurious! If you’re in the market for a new or used mobile home, here are four trends you have to look forward to discovering along your search.
Lofts
One of the most interesting trends in modern mobile home designs is the addition of a loft. A loft area is often added above the living space, allowing for an extra room of sorts. Most people use the loft area for a game room, extra guest space or for a den.
Porches
For those wishing to make their mobile home look like a traditional house, porches are now a big trend. A front porch allows homeowners to sit and enjoy their view. A back porch offers the perfect place to cook out or have guests over for a picnic.
Upgraded Master Suites
Master suites are important in any new house sale today. Thus, mobile home designers are choosing to upgrade their master suites as well. Some mobile homes today are equipped with larger master bedrooms, including bathrooms with separate showers and whirlpool tubs. Talk about luxury!
Basements
One reason many people steer clear of mobile homes is because they feel they aren’t as safe as traditional homes, in case of a storm or tornado. This is true for the mobile homes of the past. Today’s mobile homes are safer than ever and can even be built upon a concrete basement! Thus, homeowners can feel safe and secure knowing they have a haven to retreat to upon a brewing storm in their area.

A manufactured home may be an appealing option for you. These homes come in a variety of styles, sizes, and floor plans, and range in price from about $15,000 to more than $100,000 without land. A manufactured home can range in size from 640 square feet all the way up to a spacious 2305 square feet.
Manufactured homes offer a way to affordable luxury at a price that is dramatically lower than can be achieved with site-built construction methods. But there is still a big gap in knowledge about these homes, even among Realtors and others involved in selling these products.
Manufactured homes are predominantly single-story and are delivered to the home site in one, two or three sections.
Manufactured homes are available in non-drywall, partial drywall, or full finished drywall. A manufactured home is one type of factory-built prefab housing. Other types of factory-built housing include modular homes, panelized homes, mobile homes, and pre-cut homes.
Manufactured homes are typically purchased from a retail sales company that may be independently owned and operated, initially assembled by a local contracting company, and follow-up repairs performed by the manufactured home company under warranty. For this reason, customer service and reputation are extremely important.
Manufactured homes are available in a variety of floor plans that include spacious living rooms, dining rooms, fully equipped kitchens, one or more bedrooms, family rooms, and utility rooms. Depending upon your needs and the size of your lot, you can choose a single-section home plan or a larger multi-section design.
Manufactured homes are not large recreational vehicles. The latter are more properly called travel trailers, motor homes or RVs, and they are usually parked at facilities called trailer parks, trailer courts, or RV parks for short terms.
Depending on the location and excluding the cost of land, construction cost per square foot for a new manufactured home averages anywhere from 10 to 35 percent less than a comparable site-built home. A manufactured home is the answer if you are looking for a first home, a larger home for your growing family, or the perfect retirement home.
