At 11pm last night, after our website had been down for over 12 hours, Bluehost informed us that they could not recover our server. This was preceded by a week of sporadic problems, and near daily phone calls to Bluehost, but things have now crashed for good.
Instead of relying on Bluehost, this morning we began restoring our OWN backups to a different hosting company, which is a slow process. Once the site fully works, we’ll get it restored at Bluehost too, and keep them as a backup, so this can’t happen again.

Hello
I regret to inform you that there was file system corruption found on your account.
When this was brought to our attention, we worked with our Admins to try to check and recover the filesystem, but unfortunately it was too corrupted to fix.
We are seeing the server is up and running but there are several services which wil not run, including Apache (your web server) so you will not be able to see the websites. There is too much corruption for us to know how far it goes, so you may also be missing files and normal data as well.At this point we recommend you have us reimage the server back to defaults.
If this is the route you would like to take please answer the following:
1) Confirm with us that you either HAVE a backup of your data…
OR if you want us to try to salvage what data we can and make a backup.
2) Confirm the data you do have and make sure you have extracted it and inspected the files and .sql databases to make sure they are complete. Let us know the condition of data you already have backed up.
3) Confirm with us that you would like us to reimage your account/server, and you understand that this will DELETE all data and databases on the account (separate from the backup you may ask us to make if you do not have any).Once the above conditions are met, we will work with our Admins to reimage your account. (We estimate around 24 hours for reimage requests)
